Lynners arrested on gun, drug charges after traffic stop

REVERE — Three Lynn men were arrested after state police allegedly discovered a loaded revolver, ammunition, and marijuana in the car they were driving.

Bryan DaRosa, 18, Rick Pierre, 23, and Hallande Pierre, 18, were taken into custody after a state police trooper observed their black BMW sedan had no front license plate and an expired inspection sticker. The trooper queried the car based on the rear plate, and discovered that its registration had expired.

All three men were then removed from the car, which they were informed would be towed, and state police conducted an inventory of the vehicle. Troopers allegedly found approximately 30 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition in a fanny pack on the front passenger seat and a loaded Colt single-action Frontier Scout 22 LR revolver under the seat.

None of the men were licensed to carry a gun, state police said.

Troopers also found a large black duffel bag with the word “cookies” on it, which allegedly contained multiple bags of a substance believed to be marijuana, as well as 25 plastic tubes containing apparent pre-rolled joints, state police said in a statement Tuesday.

State police also located items consistent with the packaging and sale of drugs, including two digital scales, a cigarette rolling machine, and an electric grinder. An investigation revealed the marijuana allegedly belonged to DaRosa.

DaRosa is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, improper storage of a firearm, and possession of a class D substance with intent to distribute. He was also issued a civil citation for driving an unregistered motor vehicle, having an expired inspection sticker, and a number plate violation.

Rick Pierre and Hallande Pierre are charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and improper storage of a firearm, state police said. Both men also face civil citations for failure to wear a seatbelt.
