PEABODY — Drivers in the city can expect traffic delays in the Bartholomew Street area beginning Monday.
National Grid has announced that a portion of the street will be closed for approximately three weeks to replace the gas main.
The work, which will be done by National Grid and contractor RJ Devereaux Corp., is expected to take place Monday through Saturday each week from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
During work hours, road closures will span from 108 to 174 Bartholomew St. The road will remain open to residents during work hours and will be open to all traffic after work is completed each day.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and use an alternate route if possible. A police detail will be provided and a construction foreman with appropriate identification will be on-site to address drivers’ parking needs through the duration of the project. National Grid apologies in advance for any inconvenience.
