PEABODY — The YMCA of Metro North will host a Second Career Job Fair on Wednesday, Nov. 2 from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. at the Torigian Family YMCA in Peabody. The YMCA is inviting retirees and seniors looking for second careers to attend and learn about the benefits of working for the YMCA of Metro North.
“Retirees or people who are in their second careers are always looking for meaningful work that allows them to give back and stay connected to their community,“ says Paul Mantell, Vice President of Human Resources at the YMCA of Metro North. “We have some amazing opportunities at the Y that are a perfect way for someone to make a positive impact with their ‘encore’ career.”
The YMCA of Metro North currently has more than 60 part-time or full-time openings across its five branches in Lynn, Melrose, Peabody, Saugus, and Stoneham. The jobs encompass a range of fields such as early childhood education, fitness and gymnastics instructor, customer services representatives, lifeguard, swim coaches, youth sports, technology center coordinator, music studio instructor, and many more.
“We have so many great programs that could benefit from the knowledge and experience of people who have already had successful careers and are looking for an opportunity to share their talents with others,” says Mantell.
