LYNN — U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton, as well as state and city officials, urged voters to head to the polls Tuesday at an event in Frederick Douglass park Sunday Morning supporting Diana DiZoglio, the Democratic candidate for auditor.

Moulton, who faces a challenge from Republican Bob May of Peabody and Georgetown Libertarian Mark Tashjian in his bid for re-election, spent the day campaigning with DiZoglio across Lynn, Gloucester, and Newburyport. DiZoglio, a state senator, is running against Swampscott Republican Anthony Amore, who has been endorsed by outgoing Gov. Charlie Baker, for the auditor role.

Essex County Sheriff Kevin Coppinger, state Rep. Peter Capano (D-Lynn), state Rep.-elect Jenny Armini (D-Marblehead), Lynn Mayor Jared Nicholson, City Councilors Brian Field and Coco Alinsug, and Nahant Democratic Town Committee Chair Jim Walsh all joined Moulton and DiZoglio at the Sunday morning event.

Coppinger, Capano, and Armini are all running unopposed in Tuesday’s general election.

Candidates’ speeches were focused on the importance of voting, and participating in the democratic process, with some emphasizing the role Massachusetts plays as a standard bearer for other states.

After the speeches, some of the assembled went off into the city with a variety of signs backing Democratic candidates across the region, including Boston City Councilor Andrea Campbell, a candidate for attorney general, and Attorney General Maura Healey and Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll, the Democratic candidates for governor, and lieutenant governor, respectively.

Voting will begin at 7 a.m. and last through 8 p.m. Tuesday.
