November 10, 2022 by [email protected]

SWAMPSCOTT – The holiday parade hosted by the Swampscott Police Association will take place on Dec. 10 at 5:30 p.m.

The motorized parade starts at Swampscott High School, travels Essex Street to Burrill Street, Burrill Street to Paradise Road, Paradise Road to Vinnin Square /Salem St, Salem St to Humphrey St, and ends at Town Hall.

“Within the parade, we collect toys for local children as we’ve done for many years,” said Detective Ted Delano. It is an event that has 20 years of history, and always been supported by the Police Association, according to Delano.

People can also donate toys at the lobby of the Swampscott Police Station or drop off at the Swampscott Middle School.

“This year, because of safety concerns, only parade participants are going to be allowed in the rear parking lot of the starting point,” said Delano.

If any organization would like to participate in the event please contact Ted Delano, Jim Schultz, Jay Locke, or Paul Bartram at 781-595-1111.
