You know what I’ve been thinking? KIPP! Having watched this Panther team many times throughout the fall, so many pictures come to mind. I think of Juan Setalsingh throwing a deep pass with such ease; I think of Morenel Castro scoring touchdown after touchdown these past two weeks. And now, I think of Head Coach Jim Rabbitt leading his team to a Division 8 state championship appearance – because that just happened. In a semifinal matchup against No. 3 Oxford on Friday, No. 7 KIPP won 34-33 and scored 20 consecutive points in the contest. Setalsingh finished the game with over 300 passing yards and five touchdowns, Castro finished with 100 receiving yards on five catches and four touchdowns, and Vic Mafo recorded 110 receiving yards on seven catches to go along with a touchdown. In their first championship in program history, the Panthers are headed to Gillette Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 3 to take on No. 1 Hull at 10 a.m. KIPP football, good week.
