Trying to stay afloat financially has been hard enough for those that are married with kids, and everyone has experienced a number of changes over he last few years in terms of lifestyle, employment status, education, and so much more.
For one mother, some of these changes have come very recently. She has just gone through a divorce that has given her full custody of her children, and lost her second job as a result. She wrote to Item Santa asking for help to make her way through these significant life changes.
“Im looking for help to make this Christmas a bit more cheerful for my family,” she wrote. “I’ve recently went through a divorce that left me to lose a second job, take on full custody of my children, and battling financially to make it day to day.”
The past few years have forced people to change how they live and has upended the way that some people celebrate events, or enjoy their hobbies, and has largely sucked the fun out of a lot of everyday life. However, no matter what happens from year to year, the holidays remain the one constant when it comes to making people happy; The holiday season always finds a way.
Even with so much happening within such a short period of time for this mom, she still unselfishly just wants that happiness for her children, who have also gone through so much this year.
“This will put a smile on my family’s face and make Christmas feel like it hasn’t changed even though life has made so many changes for them this year,” she said.
