Having a new baby is an exciting time — but financially stressful for some. This expectant mother is eight-months pregnant and living in a family shelter after escaping from domestic violence.
She already has two young children and her third is due in the next month, so she is unable to work right now.
Her children are in need of shoes (girls size 12 and boys size 2) as well as clothes (girls size 3 and boys size 12). She is also in need of baby clothes for infants zero to three months old.
Now in its 56th year, the Item Santa fund helps to make Christmas brighter for those in need. To donate, clip the coupon in The Item and mail it, along with your check, to The Item Salvation Army Santa, 85 Exchange St., Lynn, MA 01901.
