Fresh off their historic victory against Cathedral, the St. Mary’s Spartans defeated North Andover 62-53 in enemy territory on Monday night. Reese Matela (16 points, 12 rebounds) and Bella Owumi (13 points, 11 rebounds) led the way for St. Mary’s, while Yirsy Queliz (12) and Kellyn Preira (13) also reached double-digits in scoring. Niya Morgen tacked on eight points and, per usual, played excellent defense all night. St. Mary’s improves to 10-1 with the victory, and travels to take on Bishop Fenwick this Friday with tip-off set for 6:30 p.m.
