You know what I’ve been thinking? Just like their name, the Rams are running through anyone standing in their way in girls basketball. I said the other night that Classical must’ve had a New Year’s resolution to keep winning games, and now the Green and Gold are 9-0 after defeating Malden 48-20 on Tuesday. Also, last Thursday, Classical took care of Medford 43-38. There have been many contributors – Ava Thurman, Akiyah Brown, Keisha Perez, and Lauren Wilson to name a few – but senior Lauren Henessey has especially impressed with 14 and 12 points in her last two games. The Rams have defended home-court, stolen wins in enemy territory, and have made the city of Lynn proud through nine games. To head coach Tom Sawyer and the rest of the Rams, good week.
