SWAMPSCOTT — The townt has released a call for candidates for the April 25 election.

“Looking for a rewarding way to help and be more connected to Swampscott? Willing to undertake new challenges? Then run for local office!” the announcement posted to the town’s website last week said.

When voters head to the polls in April they will elect one moderator, two Select Board members, one Board of Assessors member, two School Committee members, one Trustee of the Public Library, one Board of Health member, one Planning Board member, and one Housing Authority member.

Nomination papers can be found at the town clerk’s office and the deadline to obtain them is March 3.

If you are running for re-election, you can return your notice of re-election or declaration of intent to the Town Clerk’s Office, the drop box outside of Town Hall, fax to 781-596-8870 or email [email protected] or [email protected]. The declaration of intent form can be found on the town’s website.

Nomination papers must have 50 signatures from Swampscott registered voters. The deadline to submit nomination papers or notice of re-election is March 7.

“Please contact Jared H. LaLiberte or Brittney Jones in the Town Clerk’s Office for more information or if you are interested in running for a position, we are in the office and happy to assist you,” the announcement said.
