Item Team of the Week – Lynn Tech

You know what I’ve been thinking? Those Tigers sure can fight – the boys basketball ones. This past week saw Lynn Tech win two games (Madison Park and Minuteman). Against Madison Park on Friday, the Tigers clawed and scratched their way to a 78-53 victory. It was a pair of freshmen guards who got the job done – Giovanni Jean had 28 points, while Andy Batista followed with 17. And, oh, let’s not forget Ederick Gonzalez’s performance of 12 points and 12 rebounds. Fast forward to Tuesday, and they did it again. Against Minuteman, Jean dropped another 25, while Jayden Welch submitted a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds – that’s big-time. The Tigers now stand at 8-2, and I send my best to every team with Tech on its schedule. Tech, good week — keep it up!
