You know what I’ve been thinking? I didn’t know Tigers could swim. In the Lynn All-City Swim Meet on Monday – one that was packed and full of energy – Tech (150 points) swam to victory against English (89) and Classical (79). The Tigers placed second in the first two events, and in eight of the final nine swimming events, had two swimmers finish in the top three. Some individual standouts were Zakariya Bidoudane (200 IM, 500-yard freestyle), Isabella Celona (100-butterfly), and Addison Brown (200-yard freestyle). After the meet, head coach John Hogan said his team got several second and third place finishes to catapult the Tigers to the win, proving it’s not always about first place. To Lynn Tech, which won its first city meet since 2012, good week.
