LYNN — Lynn Police and Transit Police cruisers lined up outside Western Avenue Tuesday night as Lynn Police arrested Derek Martel, of Malden, for assault with a dangerous weapon.
Lynn Police Chief Christopher Reddy said that a disturbance involved Martel, who allegedly assaulted a man from Lynn with a dangerous weapon.
The incident first caught the attention of MBTA Transit Police, who later called Lynn Police for assistance.
Firo Za, who lives close to the site of the disturbance, said that she saw a white man banging on her neighbor’s window before the police arrived.
