SAUGUS — With the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic still hanging over EverybodyFights, the business hosted a “relaunch party” on Saturday in an effort to jump-start its post-pandemic operations.
The 855 Broadway franchise of the fitness studio opened in March 2020 — the same month it was forced to shut its doors with the pandemic wreaking havoc. While the location officially reopened last March, it was not able to reach the peaks it had achieved before the pandemic. And so, it sought to change that with a free relaunch, a “celebration of the gym, its trainers and its members.”
Those who stopped by Saturday — and there were many — could take free classes and participate in a raffle where prizes included six months of free membership, a signed Bruins jersey by Patrice Bergeron, a signed David Ortiz hat, among others.
“At EverybodyFights, we want to support anyone who is fighting through something or for something,” said David Bergeron, the company’s chief operating officer.
EverybodyFights offers members a variety of strength, endurance, and boxing classes that the company says are “designed to represent a fighter’s training regimen.”
In addition to the free classes and the raffle, anyone who showed proof of running the 2023 Boston Marathon was able to get a free membership leading up the race as well as for a month following.
“We want to make people the best fighters they can be, in the ring and in life,” said Michael Brady, partner and corporate head trainer at EverybodyFights. “You don’t have to have any boxing experience to come work out with us – we just want you to have the best time of your life with the best gym community.”
The event Saturday morning also featured products from a number of local businesses, including StretchLab in Swampscott; Reel Nutrition in Peabody; Entyre Salon & Med Spa in Saugus; and Parked Provisions in Saugus.
