LYNN

Arrests

Arnaldo Rivera, 61, of 180 Lewis St. was arrested for felony breaking and entering at night, and wanton, malicious defacement at 7:40 p.m. Thursday.

David Torres, 33, of 100 Willow St. was arrested for receiving a stolen motor vehicle, possession of a Class E drug, carrying a dangerous weapon, using a motor vehicle without its owners authority, possession of a Class B drug, and operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license at 11:23 p.m. Thursday. 

Accidents

A report of a motor vehicle hit-and-run at 11:53 a.m. Thursday at 35 Washington St.; at 2:04 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Broad Street and Nahant Street.; at 2:55 p.m. Thursday at 10 Munroe St.

A report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries at 11:11 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Kings Beach Road and Lynn Shore Drive.

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 9:10 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Belleaire Avenue and Western Avenue.

Assaults

A report of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon at 5:07 p.m. Thursday at 76 Central Ave.

A report of assault at 10:51 a.m. Thursday at 22 North Common Street.

A report of a motor vehicle stop with written warning issued at 6:30 a.m. Thursday at Humphrey Street and Marshall Street; at 2:40 p.m. Thursday at 76 Norfolk Ave; at 9:08 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood Ave and Humphrey Street.

A report of a motor vehicle stop at 2:59 p.m. Thursday at Essex Street and Stetson Ave; at 3:24 p.m. Thursday at 200 Paradise Road; at 7:01 p.m. at 367 Forest Ave; at 10:57 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood Ave and Humphrey Street.

A report of a motor vehicle stop with verbal warning issued at 8:59 p.m. Thursday at 198 Humphrey Street.

Suspicious Activity 

A report of a male wearing khakis, black shoes, and dark color hoodie went on up to a locked gate taking pictures of their code box at 12:26 p.m. Thursday at 3 Tip Top Road. 

Medical 

A report of injury after a fall at 12:39 p.m. Thursday at 1 Brooks Terr. 

A report of an 86-year-old female with head injury and bleeding after a fall at 5:14 p.m. Thursday at Jersey Mike’s, 425 Paradise Road. Transported to Salem Hospital. 

SAUGUS

Accident

A report of a motor vehicle accident with non-fatal injuries at 11:06 a.m. Thursday at Target Stores Entrance, 400 Lynn Fells Pkwy. 

Complaint

A report of a Department of Public Works complaint at 10:59 a.m. Thursday at Victor’s Italian Express, 560 Lincoln Ave. Caller said a large telephone box has wires hanging out of it. DPW was contacted and said they couldn’t respond. Fire unit C3 investigated and reported that door was secured. 

Threat

Caller reported at 11:05 a.m. Thursday at 2 Rice Street that they were receiving threatening phone calls regarding two residents. Dispatched officer investigated and reported that it was just two residents complaining. Peace was restored. 

Stop

A report of a motor vehicle stop with a verbal warning issued at 11:04 a.m. Thursday at Saugus Rotary. 

Theft

A report of shoplifting at 12:01 p.m. Thursday at Square One Mall’s Macy’s Department Store, 1201 Broadway. Loss prevention reports a white male left the store with over $1000 in merchandise in a blue Honda with MA plates 3RZG98. 

Suspicious Activity 

A report of suspicious activity at 8:11 p.m. Thursday at Walgreens, 1228 Broadway. Employee said two females were in the store that had stolen in the past. The two were described as black females, wearing black sweatshirts, one had a face covering. The two fled the store prior to dispatch officer arrival. It is unsure if they got away with any items. 

PEABODY 

Accidents

A report at 8:09 a.m. Thursday of a motor vehicle accident at 82 Lowell St. and 2 Perkins St.

A report at 9:17 a.m. Thursday of a motor vehicle accident at 43 Gardner St. and 2 Seneca Road. Both vehicles were towed.

A report at 10:55 a.m. Thursday of a hit-and-run accident at 149 Main St. The caller said the other vehicle was a black SUV. 

Complaints

A report at 9:40 a.m. Thursday from a caller who said her mother was having an issue with being evicted at 13 Abby Ellen Lane. The officer stated there was a constable and a moving company on the scene. Peace was restored.

A report at 12:54 p.m. Thursday of a large truck blocking the road at Central Bakery, 48 Walnut St.

A report at 5:54 p.m. Thursday of an erratic operator who hit a curb at 2 County St. and 91 Lynn St. The operator checked out and was sent on his way.

Disturbance

A report at 11:39 p.m. Thursday from a caller who said a male and female were punching each other in the roadway at 4 Shillaber St. The parties said it was a verbal argument.

Fraud

A report at 11:50 a.m. Thursday of fraud at 25 James St.

A walk-in report at 1:21 p.m. of fraud at 437 Lowell St.

Suspicious Activity

A report at 1:43 p.m. Thursday from a caller who said a Ring camera went off and there was a male walking down the driveway carrying a hammer and screwdriver and there was the sound of breaking glass at 23 Dublin St.

Theft

A report at 6 p.m. Thursday of a past shoplifting at the Stop & Shop Supermarket, 19 Howley St.

Threats

A report at 10:28 a.m. Thursday of threats to management at Preserve North Apartments, 18 Crowninshield St.

A report at 8:05 p.m. Thursday from a caller at 174 Lake St. who wanted to speak to an officer about possible past threats.

Wires Down

A report at 12:22 p.m. Thursday of wires down at 28 Linden Road. The Fire Department handled the matter.

Unwanted Party

A report at 12:24 a.m. Thursday of an unwanted party in the lobby at the Holiday Inn Peabody, 1 Newbury St. The party was gone on arrival.
