LYNN 

Arrests

Nelson Torres, 38, of 322 Essex St. was arrested for carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm or weapon, receiving stolen property less than $1,200, and unlicensed possession of ammunition at 11:18 p.m. Sunday.

David Ventura, 27, of 162 Herman St., Winthrop was arrested for failure to stop or yield for police and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol at 10:57 p.m. Sunday.

Accidents

A report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries at 11:21 a.m. Sunday at 9 Essex St.; at 6:38 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Mason Street.

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 6:31 p.m. Sunday at 564 Boston St.; at 8:38 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Liberty Street and Market Street.

Assault

A report of assault and battery at 3:39 p.m. Sunday at 20 Waterford St.

Thefts

A report of robbery at 8:54 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Fayette Street and Mason Street.

A report of larceny at 6:23 p.m. Sunday at 32 Union St.; at 11:48 a.m. Sunday at 43 Cottage St.; at 9:35 a.m. Monday at 66 Market Square.

A report of shoplifting at 3:14 p.m. Monday at 780 Lynnway.; at 4:42 p.m. Sunday at 21 Joyce St.

Missing Person

A report of a missing person at 8:58 a.m. Monday at 121 Eastern Ave.

Vandalism

A report of motor vehicle vandalism at 9:29 a.m. Monday at 152 Hamilton Ave.

Disturbance

A report of a disturbance at 10:15 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Green Street and Violet Street.

Suspicious Activity

Accident

A report at 5:14 p.m. Saturday of a hit-and-run accident at 513 Walnut St.

Complaint

A report at 10:03 p.m. Saturday of loud noise at 375 N Broadway Apt. #1-309.

Medical Aid

A request at 8:26 a.m. Saturday for medical aid on Pine Hill Road. The patient was transported to Lahey Clinic in Burlington.

A request at 4:58 p.m. Saturday for medical aid on Chestnut Street. The patient was transported to a hospital.

A request at 4:33 p.m. Sunday for medical aid at Sunrise Assisted Living, 55 Salem St. The patient was transported to Beverly Hospital.

A request at 7:42 p.m. Sunday for medical aid on Melody Lane. 

NAHANT

Stops 

A report of a motor vehicle stop with verbal warning issued at 9:58 a.m. Sunday at Nahant Road and Castle Road; at 10:00 a.m. Sunday at Nahant Road and Castle Road.

A report of a motor vehicle stop with citation issued at 1:55 p.m. Sunday at Little Nahant Road and Nahant Road. 

A report of a motor vehicle stop with warning issued at 9:41 p.m. Sunday at Castle Road. 

Suspicious 

A report of suspicious activity at 3:29 p.m. Sunday at Wilson Road. Caller stated that there was a suspicious vehicle in front of his house. Caller stated that the operator might be “smoking weed” and was looking into other parked vehicles. Responding officer reported that the operator and occupants were working at 175 Wilson Road and were waiting for a U-Haul truck to arrive. 

SAUGUS

Accidents

A report of a motor vehicle accident with non-fatal injuries at 10:32 a.m. Sunday at McDonald’s Restaurant, 738 Broadway. A caller reported a three-vehicle crash with a reported injury. Ambulances took two people to Melrose/Wakefield Hospital, all other patients signed refusals for medical treatment. 

A report of a hit and run crash at 12:21 p.m. Sunday at Auto House USA, Inc., 1134 Broadway. A caller reported being in an accident where the other vehicle fled the scene. Officers noted minor damage to the vehicle and attempted to contact the registered owner of the other vehicle. 

A report of a motor vehicle accident with non-fatal injuries at 2:18 p.m. Sunday at Salvation Army, 209-33 Broadway. One person was taken to Salem Hospital. 

A report of a motor vehicle accident with non-fatal injuries at 5:46 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Pleasant Avenue and Essex Street. Towing services were requested for both vehicles involved in the crash, and one patient refused medical treatment. 

Animal

The animal control officer responded to 29 Dewey St. at 7:45 p.m. Sunday for a report of an injured dog. 

Complaint

An officer at 5:54 p.m. Sunday reported a DPW sign was knocked over on Pleasant Avenue. 

A 911 caller reported the set of lights by Target were not working properly at 7:08 p.m. Sunday at Target, 400 Lynn Fells Parkway. 

Disturbances

A caller who sounded heavily intoxicated told police at 12:35 a.m. Sunday that he was robbed at Laurel Gardens, 2 Rice St. #149. Responding officers determined there was no substance to the story. An ambulance transported one person to Melrose/Wakefield Hospital. 

A walk-in at 9:48 a.m. Sunday reported a group of juveniles harassing her by ringing her doorbell and yelling vulgar remarks at her residence, 32 Sterling Ave.

A 911 caller at 10:47 p.m. Sunday at Essex Landing, 40 Collins Ave. reported his ex-fiance took his vehicle without permission and then would not turn it over to him when she returned. The calling party got his vehicle back and departed for the evening.

A report of a motor vehicle stop at 5:05 p.m. Sunday at 3 Old County Road. Officers issued a verbal warning for speeding. 

A report of a motor vehicle stop at 8:27 p.m. Sunday at 116 Main St. Officers issued a verbal warning. 

A report of a motor vehicle stop at 10:42 p.m. Sunday at Hooters, 1143 Broadway. Officers took no action. 

Suspicious

A caller reported suspicious activity at 11:15 a.m. Sunday at 29 Tuttle St. The home was supposed to be vacant and the basement door was wide open. Officers conducted a search and determined the property was empty.

A report of an 86 year old female having difficulty breathing at 12:42 a.m. Sunday at Duncan Terr.

A report of a motor vehicle stop at 12:59 a.m. Sunday at 565 Humphrey Street; at 1:27 a.m. Sunday at 200 Paradise Road; at 1:32 a.m. Sunday at Ellis Road and Paradise Road; at 2:00 a.m. Sunday at Norfolk Ave and Paradise Road; at 2:21 a.m. Sunday at 444 Humphrey Street; at 6:18 a.m. Sunday at 165 Paradise Road; at 10:19 a.m. Sunday at Burrill Street and Monument Ave; at 1:57 p.m. Sunday at 44 Humphrey Street; at 2:58 p.m. Sunday at Atlantic Ave and Bradlee Ave.

Disturbance

A report of a male party that may be having an issue with two other males in a parking lot at 6:25 p.m. Sunday at 14 Currier Ct. All three parties said there was no issue. 

Suspicious 

A report of a male party with two small children setting up traffic cones and a beach blanket in the parking lot near the car wash at 6:52 p.m. Sunday at 525 Paradise Road. Male was cleaning out his car while his son practiced soccer.
