LYNN

Arrests

Earl Colby, 31, of 52 Whiting St. was arrested for shoplifting by asportation and trespassing at 10:52 a.m. Tuesday.

Danny Joazard, 37, of 17 Nazing St., Dorchester, was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and violation of the city’s knife ordinance at 1:48 a.m. Tuesday.

Jose Ruiz, 29, of 100 Willow St. was arrested for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, obstruction of an emergency vehicle lane, and a marked lanes violation at 10:56 p.m. Tuesday

Accidents

A report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries at 10:12 a.m. Tuesday at 11 Market St.

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 3:02 p.m. Tuesday at 430 Eastern Ave.; at 3:49 p.m. Tuesday at Exchange Street.

Assaults

A report of assault at 3:52 p.m. Tuesday at 300 Washington St.

A report of a fight at 1:18 a.m. Wednesday at 53 Central Ave.; at 2:03 a.m. Wednesday at Central Avenue; at 7:39 a.m. Wednesday at 1 Collins St. Terrace.

Fire

A report of a fire at 3:03 p.m. Tuesday at 30 Linden Terrace.

Thefts

A report of larceny at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday at 48 Estes St.; at 4:33 p.m. Tuesday at 103 Williams Ave.

A report of shoplifting at 21 Joyce St.; at 3:06 p.m. Tuesday at 264 Essex St.; at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday at 780 Lynnway.

Missing Persons

A report of a missing person at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday at 80 Nahant St.; at 4:21 p.m. Tuesday at 137 Broad St.; at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday at 22 Elmwood Ave.

Suspicious Activity

A report of suspicious activity at 3:18 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Alley Street and Blossom Street; at 1:22 a.m. Wednesday at 567 Lynnway.

A motor vehicle stop at 7:33 p.m. Tuesday at 251 Western Ave.; at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday at 79 Eastern Ave.; at 10:11 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Franklin Street and Western Avenue; at 10:24 p.m. Tuesday at Friend Street and Green Street; at 10:29 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Broadway and Ellsworth Terrace; at 7:24 a.m. Wednesday at 234 Broadway.

NAHANT

Stops 

A report of a motor vehicle stop with verbal warning issued at 1:49 a.m. Tuesday at Nahant Road; at 5:43 a.m. Tuesday at Nahant Road and Wilson Road; at 5:01 p.m. Tuesday at Nahant Road and Castle Road; at 8:54 p.m. Tuesday at Reading Cooperative Bank, Nahant Road.

Animals

A report of a coyote sighting at 5:08 a.m. Tuesday at Bass Point Apartments, Sea Breeze Lane.

A report of an animal complaint at 4:42 p.m. Tuesday at Winter Street. Caller said there was a large white dog in their yard. Dog was returned to its owner. 

Saugus

Accidents

A report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash at 12:08 a.m. Tuesday at McDonalds Restaurant, 738 Broadway. A caller reported her vehicle was in an accident and the other car drove off. Responding officers determined the caller’s vehicle was rear-ended in the drive-thru. 

A report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries at 7:37 a.m. Tuesday on Route 1 North at the Main Street off ramp. One vehicle was towed from the scene, and two people were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital. 

A report of a motor vehicle crash at Dunkin Donuts, 1204 Broadway. A 911 caller reported a minor motor vehicle accident where they were having trouble exchanging paperwork. 

Complaints

A report of a noise complaint at 9:55 p.m. Tuesday at 4 Felmont Ave. A caller reported his neighbor was using power tools and it is causing a noise disturbance. Dispatched officers reported not hearing a noise upon arrival. 

A report of a noise complaint at 11:02 p.m. Tuesday at 3015 Founders Way. A 911 caller reported a car in the parking lot had been playing loud music for 30 minutes. The occupant turned the music off. 

Disturbances

A report of a general disturbance at 10:53 a.m. Tuesday at McDonald’s, 127 Broadway. A 911 caller reported a man in a dark sweatshirt and white hat is causing a disturbance and yelling at him in the parking lot. Officers identified the party involved and restored peace. 

A report of a female patient causing a disturbance at 2:21 p.m. Tuesday at Lux Dental, 1201 Broadway. 

A report of a general disturbance at 12:09 a.m. Wednesday at 21 Pleasant St. A 911 caller reported seeing someone in her backyard who ran out after they saw one another. Officers spoke with the caller and her father and reported the party had left and advised them to call them back if the party does come back. 

Fight

A report of a fight in progress at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday at Red Roof Inn, 920 Broadway. An unidentified female caller told police she saw a fight in progress between three men in the parking lot. Dispatched officers reported that parties were gone when they arrived. 

Stop

A report of a motor vehicle stop at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday at Kentucky Fried Chicken, 420 Broadway. The female party was allowed to return home to Chelsea. 

Suspicious

A 911 caller reported seeing a man in a black shirt walking around his backyard near his tool shed at 11:01 a.m. Tuesday at 358 Lincoln Ave. Officers spoke with the caller and reviewed security camera footage and determined the man didn’t take anything and the caller wasn’t missing any items. 

Thefts

A walk-in at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday reported a vehicle he rented out from Home Depot was not returned. 

A walk-in at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday reported a vehicle he was in possession of was stolen from the McGarvey lot at 1481 Broadway Apt. #R. The walk-in told police he dropped the vehicle off for cleaning after purchasing it from a car auction. He reported the keys were with the car. McGarvey reported they had no CCTV footage and the cleaning service is not part of their offering. 

Trespassing

Officers were dispatched to 270 Main St. at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a homeless person living in an abandoned building. Officers reported the building was empty but there was an old fire in the fireplace.
