LYNN — Rowley Police arrested Michael Derosa, 50, of Lynn, for distribution of child pornography following the Rowley Police Cyber Crimes Unit’s investigation.
In December 2022, Officers Lucas Tubbs and Carolyn Lynch of the Rowley Police Cyber Crimes Unit began an investigation to identify an individual who was sharing child pornography from an internet protocol address in Lynn.
That individual allegedly shared several images of child pornography while investigators acted in an undercover capacity.
Rowley Police, with assistance from Lynn Police, Topsfield Police, and Massachusetts State Police, served a court-issued search warrant at 155 Curwin Circle, Lynn on Wednesday, March 22.
Derosa was charged as a result of the warrant, and arraigned in Newburyport District Court on Tuesday, April 4. He was released after posting a $3,000 cash bail.
“Any crime against a child is abhorrent,” said Rowley Police Chief Scott Dumas. “The Rowley Police Cyber Crimes Unit will always do what it can to stop and prevent crimes against children.”
