You know what I’ve been thinking? It’s never too early to start making predictions. We’re just four games into the spring season, and the Lynnfield girls lacrosse team is already looking like it’s in playoff form. In the blink of an eye, the Lady Pioneers have ripped 49 goals, allowing just 24 on the other end. That said, let’s take a look at this past week – aka, a pair of road wins for Lynnfield. Against a tough North Reading team, Lynnfield escaped with a 13-11 win in enemy territory. And if you’re wondering where the offense came from, look no further than Taylor Valiton and Maddie Mastrangelo. Each scored four goals, while Mastrangelo added a helper, but that was just the beginning of a monstrous back-to-back. Against Triton five days later, the Lady Pioneers doubled up the Titans en route to a 15-7 decision. That said, any time you rack up 28 goals in two games, you’ve got it going. With other contributors such as Chloe Considine, Charlotte Radulski, Hannah Gromko, and Avery Bird all playing a role, I wish good luck to anyone on Lynnfield’s schedule. To the 4-0 Lady Pioneers, good week.
