To the Editor:
As a lifelong resident, a former student, and a former teacher of Swampscott, I am overjoyed to have met a candidate who is committed to the values, knowledgeable of the needs, and enthusiastic about the job of serving on this town’s Select Board. Stefanie Neumann is that candidate.
Stefanie grew up in this town, before living elsewhere in pursuit of her education and professional experience. However, what really inspires me as a young resident is that Stefanie came back. She returned to this town with her family to raise her kids here and have them go through the wonderful Swampscott Public School system. Her actions in doing so demonstrate her commitment to the town.
Stefanie has gone out of her way through meetings with town officials and going door-to-door to speak with residents to acquire a robust understanding of the issues our town faces. She will be ready to work on day one for the people of Swampscott as we look at potential generational changes with regards to important issues of housing, schools, and town finances, particularly regarding upcoming projects at the Hawthorne site and the soon-to-be former Hadley School site.
We need Stefanie Neumann’s fresh perspective, commitment to civility, and love for Swampscott on our Select Board. Please join me in voting for Stefanie Neumann on April 25.
