The Rams defended home field with an impressive 15-0 win (4 innings) over Malden at Fraser Field. It was an afternoon full of offense for Classical, as nine different batters got a hit.
Christian Figueroa earned the win from the mound pitching all four innings, with five strikeouts and two walks. Christian Spates was hitting everything that was thrown at him, going 3-for-3, scoring two runs, and bringing in five.
Darnell Leon and Almani Gerardo combined to score five runs for Classical, and each recorded two hits.
The Rams are currently 12-1 and have a big rivalry game on Thursday against English at Fraser Field under the lights, with first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Tigers lost to a tough Greater Lawrence team on Monday. Head coach Eddie Lewis said, “Things didn’t play out in our favor, but this is a minor setback for a major comeback.” The Tigers will look to begin the comeback on Tuesday when they host Nashoba Valley at 7 p.m.

Prep scored the lone run in the first inning when Will Shaheen brought home Nic Lembo from second, which was enough for the victory. Henry Hebert was on the mound for the Eagles, throwing a complete-game shutout. Hebert only allowed two hits on the day and struck-out nine.

Head Coach Hector Longo said Sophia Brown’s pitching was “her best performance of the year.” The junior pitched a complete game, allowing five hits and one walk. Brown also struck-out five. Sophomores Libby Considine and Morgan Hubbard each recorded a hit and a RBI. In addition, Kaila George and Ava Gamache each recorded RBI singles.

The Sachems traveled into enemy territory and walked out with a comprehensive win over the Witches.
Abby Enwright earned her first varsity win, striking out five and allowing four hits on Monday.
Ava Rogers went 3-for-3 at the plate with two doubles, a single and one RBI. Eighth-grader Sydney Deleidi went 2-for-2 for Saugus.
The win moves Saugus to 6-5 and the team will look to pick up another victory on Tuesday when they travel to Malden Catholic, with the game scheduled for 4 p.m.

Classical Coach Joe Morin described the game as an “ugly win”, but the Rams got it done.
Freshman Brooke Braswell went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs, and one RBI. Lauren Wilson brought in two runners and scored a run.
Mekayla Poisson, Rachel Dana, Manuela Lizardo all recorded two hits to help Classical bring its record to 7-3 (7-2 Greater Boston League).

Marblehead went on the road and came back home with a solid victory. Behind Connor Cronin’s six goals and four assists, the Magician’s captain surpassed 200 career points. Cronin will look to extend his point tally on Wednesday when Marblehead hosts Bedford at 4:30 p.m.

The Tanners may not have scored a goal in the first half, but they did not let that deter them. Peabody scored all six of their goals in the second half to steal the victory on Swampscott’s turf. With under a minute to go and tied at five, Peabody’s Ashton Sousa scored to give the Tanners their first lead. Peabody’s goalie Antonio Anzalone made a crucial save in the final moments to hold off the Big Blue.

Despite two goals each from Finn Racki, Micahel Calder, and Ben Fry, the Spartans offense couldn’t keep up with Archbishop Williams. St. Mary’s will look to put the loss behind them and pick up the win on Wednesday when they travel to Bishop Feehan, with the game scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.

The Magicians started strong, leading 11-2 by halftime. Marblehead’s firepower was driven by Ramona Gillett, who scored five goals. Sydney Langton added four goals, and Lucy Wales netted a hat-trick for the Magicians. Caroline Scroope led the team in assists, with four.

In a high-scoring game, the Spartans fell short. Kasey Litwin led the charge for the Spartans, scoring four goals and providing an assist. Jill Kirby (two goals) and Abbie Poole (one goal) each provided two assists.
Ava Nason, Gabbi Oakes, and Chloe Sullivan all scored a goal, while Camdyn Driscoll contributed with an assist.

Peabody got the victory over a talented Swampscott team. Caitlin Snow came up big for the Tanners, saving seven shots. The Tanners led 6-4 at half. Early in the second half, the Big Blue tied the game at six. Peabody would play the final 11 minutes with a man advantage. The Tanners took full advantage, ending the game with a 8-1 run to win 14-7.
Brooke Lomasney netted five goals and four assists, while Madi Barrett contributed with three goals and two assists.

The Bulldogs picked up the win against Everett on Monday afternoon. After dropping the first singles match, English rallied, winning the remaining matches. Second singles Siraj Salah won in three sets (6-1 5-7 6-3). Bader Salah won his match 6-0, 6-1 while first doubles, Erick Salazar and Jordan Alas, swept their opponents. Second doubles, Tanvir Haque and Logan Arsenault, won 6-0, 6-1.

Marblehead won a close match against a tough Danvers squad. Marblehead Coach Tracy Ackerman said, “this was a great team win for us. Danvers came out strong, and we were down in all singles matches at first. Charly stayed the course, mixing up consistent and aggressive play, and securing the win.” The Magicians lost the first two singles matches and Charly Cooper needed to win to give the Magicians a chance. Cooper won the match 6-2, 6-3.
First doubles Courtney Yoder and Aviva Bresnahan won their match 7-6, 6-1, while second doubles swept their opponents 6-0, 6-0.
“Our doubles continue to be the spots that have found ways to win match after match, taking the pressure off the singles players,” Ackerman said.
The win moves Marblehead to 7-1 in the Northeastern Conference.

First doubles Anna Ratner and Victoria Quagrello continued to show their chemistry on the court, winning 6-4, 6-2. Second doubles, Tessa Prendergrast and Ana Eccles, won their match to give Swampscott the victory.
