The North Shore Chamber of Commerce will celebrate graduating honor scholars from more than 30 schools in the North Shore on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hilton in Danvers. The honorees are from the top 5 percent of their graduating classes.
“This is a tradition that the chamber has been doing for 55 years,” North Shore Chamber of Commerce Communications Manager Katie Lovett said. “Everyone’s really excited to be there. It’s just a real source of pride for both the students and their parents and the educators. It’s a really great tradition and it’s a really fun evening.”
Each student will be called up on stage to receive a certificate, she said.
“It’s important to recognize students who have just risen to the top of their class academically and who are really setting themselves up to be the next generation of leaders in business and in their fields,” Lovett said.
EBSCO Information Services CEO and President Tim Collins will be the keynote speaker.
