To the editor:
Needless mass killings of innocent people just going about their business can happen anywhere, anytime in this country. It’s a common occurrence. Speeches of prayers and condolences apparently have no meaning; they’re just words.
I’m asking readers to go to a very quiet place, where you can hear a pin drop.
Now that’s done, you heard the pin drop, nice and quiet.
Well, that is exactly the sound you hear in the halls of Congress: quiet — not a peep regarding mass shootings.
The reason? Special interests, fear of losing campaign funds, come up with your own theory.
Maybe they should all leave, clean out their belongings and go back home.
They’re doing nothing to help our citizens, so who’s going to miss them.
Sincerely,
Robert Nadeau
