Seventy girls from Girls Inc. of Boston and Lynn were inspired by women leaders from Roche Diagnostics at the recent Young Women’s Leadership Conference.
The Roche Diagnostics team helped the girls prepare for their futures with mock interviews, and a resume-building and editing session at the conference on May 10.
A highlight of the conference was a panel of women speakers from Roche Diagnostics with varied educational backgrounds who spoke about how their work impacts the world.
While they sell equipment used in labs, they also have labs in which they can determine certain causes for illness, and they also work closely with cancers.
“We are grateful to Roche Diagnostics for inspiring and empowering our girls to be strong, smart, and bold leaders in STEM,” said Deb Ansourlian, executive director of Girls Inc. of Boston and Lynn.
