A caller at 9:43 a.m. Tuesday asked police to check the area of St. Ann’s Church, 140 Lynn St. for a deceased cat. Officers could not locate the cat.
Family Vet Services, 649 Lowell St. reported bringing in a black domestic shorthair cat for a microchip scan at 5:46 p.m. Tuesday. The clinic was unable to make contact with the owner, and will house the cat for the evening.

A good samaritan walked into the police station at 3:12 p.m. Tuesday to turn in Honda car keys found two days ago at 1 Dooling Circle at 168 Lynnfield St. The keys were assigned a property number and placed in a lost and found box.

A report of a party who set a fire in a recycling bin early Tuesday morning at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday at 58 Aborn St. #1.
A report of a lawn fire at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday at 10 Centennial Drive. The fire was extinguished.
A caller reported a small brush fire at 6:03 p.m. Tuesday at Langham Pond on Stacia Road. She said she doused it with water and was fairly confident it would not reignite but reported it “just in case.”

A report of a large branch down in the road blocking traffic at 10:02 p.m. Tuesday at Lake Street and Huntington Drive.
Suspicious
A report at 8:14 a.m. Tuesday of a motor vehicle that has been in the area of Sheffield and Wiseman Drives for an extended period of time. Officers determined the vehicle belonged to a party who resided at 9 Wiseman Drive.

The owner of Michael’s Limousine Company, 161 Lynn St. reported at 10:35 a.m. that a party left a bucket of waste on their property.

A softball coach reported a suspicious camera in the tree pointed at his team at 3:06 p.m. Tuesday at Lt. Ross Park, 36 Johnson St. Officers determined the camera was for the Peabody West streaming service and all is in order.
