LYNN — The second annual Mullins Baseball Tournament will be held this Friday and Saturday at newly-renovated Fraser Field in Lynn.

The tournament is named after Doug Mullins, who died from cancer in 2020 at the age of 34. A lifelong resident of the city and Lynn Classical graduate, Mullins coached baseball with St. Mary’s and Lynn English before landing the head coaching job at English in 2017.

Admission is $5 per person, and Mullins Memorial t-shirts will be on sale at the field with all proceeds going to its general fund. A $1,000 scholarship in Mullins’ name will also be presented to each of the four teams for a player(s) heading off to college.

Swampscott takes on Classical at 4 p.m. on Friday, followed by St. Mary’s against English at 7 p.m. The consolation game will be Saturday at 11 a.m. with the championship game following at 2 p.m.
