LYNN — Essex District Attorney Paul Tucker was the guest on last week’s episode of “The American Dream,” a Lynn Community TV Show hosted by Attorney James J. Carrigan.
The episode featuring Tucker is set to re-air this week. The show, which airs Tuesdays and Fridays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 7 a.m. on Comcast Channel 3 and Verizon Channel 38, is “designed to give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how public and private policy is developed,” according to Carrigan.
Tucker, a former police chief and state representative from Salem, joined the show to discuss managing the district attorney’s office. Tucker won a contested primary last September to replace outgoing District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett, who opted not to run for reelection after two decades in the office.
The conversation between Tucker and Carrigan ran for just shy of 30 minutes, and began with a discussion of how Tucker approaches his role, in which he oversees 85 attorneys.
“They’re in the eight district courts, we have a presence in each of the district courts and the superior courts in Salem, Lawrence, and Newburyport,” he said, adding that the office has a strong footprint in Lynn.
Episodes can be found on the Lynn Community Television website after they air.
