Guitarist Vance Spina, of Lynn, will take the stage at the Faster Horses Country Music Festival on Saturday, July 16 in Brooklyn, Mich.
The three-day Faster Horses Festival will feature acts including the Zac Brown Band, Luke Bryan, Shania Twain, and others. In past years, the festival has brought in more than 40,000 country music fans each day.
The Lynn-bred musician will be the guitarist for singer-songwriter Vivienne Artur’s band as part of the Berklee Popular Music Institute, a class at the college that brings students and Berklee-affiliated acts to major North American music festivals.
Spina is currently studying at Berklee College of Music on a full-tuition scholarship. He is obtaining his bachelor’s degree in professional music with concentrations in music production and guitar performance.
Before attending Berklee, Spina was part of the Berklee City Music Program, where he taught music to children in underserved areas for five years.
