A report of a hit and run motor vehicle collision at 6:55 p.m. Sunday at Bernie and Phyls Discount Furniture, 901 Broadway. The caller told police two vehicles involved in the collision were able to pull into the parking lot but a third fled the scene.
A caller reported a motor vehicle traveling north on the southbound side of the highway that, while attempting to get back on the highway from Square One Mall, drove up the island full speed and became disabled at 9:45 p.m. Sunday in the area of 1201 Broadway. Officers reported the driver was lost and hit a curb.
A report of a motor vehicle collision at 10:51 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Broadway and Essex Streets. One person was taken to Melrose/Wakefield Hospital.

A report of a female riding her bike in the median at 11:36 a.m. Sunday on Route 1 North near Saugus High School.
State Police reported being called about youths throwing rocks down at 11:48 p.m. Sunday on the Main Street overpass on Route 1. Officers conducted an area check and did not find anything.
Suspicious
A caller at 8:12 a.m. Sunday reported two vehicles stopped outside 1 Pearl Road the previous night and dumped a bag in the roadway, which was moved to the side of the road. Dispatched officers located the backpack full of trash and brought it to the station to dispose of the items.
A report of racing up and down the street at 2:38 p.m. Sunday at 2 Randell Road.
Theft
A caller with Walmart Loss Prevention reported following two shoplifters out of the store who would not accompany him to the loss prevention office at 11:05 p.m. Sunday at Walmart, 770 Broadway. The caller reported the suspects left the parking lot and provided officers with a description. Dispatched officers reported the caller had no information if the pair had stolen anything.

A report of loud music at 1:16 p.m. Sunday coming from Phillips Park. The caller said the music was “affecting her peace and quiet.”

A caller reported a friend came over and is now refusing to leave at 7:43 p.m. Sunday at 6 New Ocean St. An officer responding to the call was bitten and sent to the hospital for a check-up.

A caller reported a sailboat that appeared to be in distress at 2:46 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Beach, 199 Ocean Ave.
Suspicious
A caller reported a male party came up to her while she was in the cemetery and made her uncomfortable at 4:53 p.m. Sunday at Capen Road. The woman, who was alone, said the man asked for food and a ride.
