LTE: Give credit to city workers

To the editor

July 11, 2023 by To the editor

To the editor:

City workers do not get the credit they deserve.

After having two trees removed last fall, the Department of Public Works came by and removed roots and partially buried stumps. They also scrapped and leveled both areas of the front of our house and added fresh loom and grass seed — all in the sweltering heat. The temperature was in the 90s with high humidity.

None of the workers complained. All were very professional and friendly. They just went about their task, did it well, then cleaned up, and it looks great!

We did supply water, with towels that they used to cool down, for which they were grateful.

I would like to thank DPW Assistant Commissioner Lisa Nerich for all her help, as I know the department has many projects this summer.

Next time the city workers address your issues, a thank you would go a long way!

Sincerely,

L. Robert Nadeau
Lynn
