Arrests 

David Melgar Alvarado, 21, of Border Street, East Boston was arrested for shoplifting $250 plus by asportation at 6:41 p.m. Tuesday.

A report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 9:27 a.m. Tuesday at 311 Western Ave.; at 12:54 p.m. Tuesday at 71 Marion St.; at 3:57 p.m. Tuesday at Pennybrook Road and Walnut Street; at 10:02 p.m. Tuesday at 200 S Common St. 

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 10:12 a.m. Tuesday at 480 Lynnfield St.; at 11:34 a.m. Tuesday at 49 Hollingsworth St.; at 3:54 p.m. Tuesday at 57 Parkland Ave.; at 5:27 p.m. Tuesday at Broadway and Jenness Street; at 5:46 p.m. Tuesday at 532 Western Ave.; at 6:16 p.m. Tuesday at 395 Essex St.; at 6:34 p.m. Tuesday at 2 Adams St.; at 6:53 p.m. Tuesday at Lewis Street and Norcross Terrace. 

Assault

Disturbances 

A report of a disturbance at 11:33 a.m. Tuesday at 425 Lynnway; at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday at Newhall Street and Sagamore Street.

Hazardous 

A report of hazardous conditions at 11:14 a.m. Tuesday at 29 Lincoln St.

Overdoses 

A report of an overdose at 2:01 p.m. Tuesday at Lewis Street; at 5:46 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall Square; at 7:07 p.m. Tuesday at Lynn Shore Drive; at 10:52 p.m. Tuesday at Lynn Shore Drive and Wolcott Road.

Suspicious Activity 

A report of suspicious activity at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday at 8 Burchstead Pl.

Thefts 

A report of larceny at 12:14 p.m. Tuesday at 11 Strawberry Ave.; at 1:25 p.m. Tuesday at 120 Liberty St.

A report of motor vehicle theft at 1:51 p.m. Tuesday at Bank of America, 1 State St.

A report of shoplifting at 5:02 p.m. Tuesday at Walmart, 780 Lynnway.

Trespassing

A report of trespassing at 8:51 a.m. Tuesday at 29 Lincoln St.; at 10:08 a.m. Tuesday at 526 Western Ave.; at 9:29 p.m. Tuesday at 22 Union Street.

Accidents

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 7:25 a.m. Tuesday on Pearl Street; at 2:08 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Lafayette Street and Tully Road. 

Loud Noise

A report of a loud bang at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Fairview Road and Green Street. 

Lost and Found

A report of a found credit card at 11:33 p.m. Tuesday on Atlantic Avenue. 

Restraining Order

A report of a restraining order served/attempted at 11:56 a.m. Tuesday on Lee Street. 

Theft

A report of larceny/forgery/fraud at 11:54 a.m. Tuesday on Robert Road. 

SAUGUS

Accidents

A report of a four-car motor vehicle collision with injuries at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Winter and Central Streets. A father and his two children were taken to the hospital. 

A report of a three-car motor vehicle collision at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday in the area of 400 Lynn Fells Parkway.

A report of a hit-and-run collision at 4:54 p.m. Tuesday at Walmart, 770 Broadway. 

A caller reported being involved in a motor vehicle collision at 7:06 p.m. Tuesday at 100 Central St. 

Animals

A report of a neglected cat at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday at Warden Street Apartments, 5 Warden St. The Animal Control Officer determined the call was connected to a roommate dispute. 

An officer reported bringing a found dog into the station at 4:32 p.m. Tuesday. The Animal Control Officer responded to retrieve the animal, which was held overnight at the pound. 

Disturbances

A caller reported purchasing a vehicle and putting down a deposit of $1,100 but not receiving the vehicle at 3:28 p.m. Tuesday at Winthrop Motors, 961 Broadway. The woman was given $800 cash and advised to take the matter to Lynn District court for any other losses.

A caller reported signs of hate speech attached to street poles at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday in the area from Home Depot to Walmart on Broadway. Officers responded but could not locate any hate speech. 

Thefts

Revere PD reported finding the property of a woman who believed her car was stolen after it wasn’t in her assigned parking spot at 1:07 a.m. Tuesday at Cliftondale Condominiums, 36 Essex St. 

A woman walked into the police station to report her car was stolen at 6:26 a.m. Tuesday. 

A report of a past shoplifting at 1:31 p.m. Tuesday at Best Buy, Square One Mall, 1201 Broadway. 

Weapon

A resident reported finding a rifle with ammunition in his home at 9:05 a.m. Tuesday at 315 Essex St. A responding officer determined the weapon was an airsoft gun, but confiscated the ammunition.
