SAUGUS — On Sunday, Fuddruckers will host Mom’s Cancer Fighting Angels’ annual Relay for Life, a fundraiser event to benefit the American Cancer Society.
The ninth annual relay will run from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Route 1 Fuddruckers located at 900 Broadway. The event was initially slated for July 16, but Mother Nature had other plans and the relay was rained out by thunderstorms.
Fuddruckers will donate 20% of proceeds from all sales during the event to the American Cancer Society. The event will feature a bevy of classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles, along with raffles, trophies awarded for the best in show, and other accolades. There will also be music courtesy of Lil’ Jimmy’s Stack of Records, an oldies DJ.
The Relay for Life is “the world’s largest peer-to-peer fundraising event dedicated to saving lives from cancer” and raises money for “breakthrough research, 24/7 support for cancer patients, access to lifesaving screenings, and much more,” according to the American Cancer Society.
