PEABODY — This Sunday night at the Leather City Commons, country singer Renee Leavitt, and her band, the Renegades, will play two hours of original music and covers.
Leavitt, who recently signed with Tribeca Records and charted at number one on the Southern Gospel and Positive Country charts with a song titled “Walk With The Big Guy,” is also one of the main acts at Soul Fest taking place at the Topsfield Fairgrounds August 3-5.
Leavitt, who is going for an advanced master’s degree in theology at Boston College, has received lots of interest from many famous country singers across the country to possibly open for them later this year.
To date, Leavitt has released three albums with a couple of videos due out soon. One of the videos is a tribute to veterans, first responders, and anybody that keeps us out of harm’s way.
Sunday night’s free show at Leather City Common is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
