This past Monday, 127 kids registered for the first meet of the 9th Annual Summer Youth Track Series, sponsored by Lynn Parks and Recreation, where kids ran, threw, and jumped all evening long.
Events included the 30m for youngsters three-and-under with Autumn Williams of Lynn dominating with an 8.3s finish for the girls, and Isaak Tyler of Salem taking the boys race with 10.6s.
The mile had Gisell Rodriguez of Lynn winning in 9:18s and Alan Barrios, also of Lynn, recording a 5:27s.
Offered events are the 30m, 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1-mile, standing long jump, and softball throw. With no entry fee, all communities are invited to participate, and kids can participate in as many events as they wish.
