LYNN — Residents at the Harbor Loft Apartments at 678 Washington St. were evacuated Monday morning after a kitchen fire filled the fourth floor with smoke.
According to District Fire Chief Thomas Hines, crews responded to an automatic report alerting them of a kitchen fire, and by 11:15 a.m., had extinguished the fire.
Hines said the fire appeared to have originated from the stove. No injuries were sustained, he said.
At 11 a.m., three Lynn fire engines, two ladders, one Cataldo ambulance, and two Atlantic ambulances were on scene. No fire could be seen from the building’s exterior.
