To the editor:
First and foremost as an independent voter, my focus is the issues that are important for the greater good.
Former President Donald Trump is back at it again, with his insults, denials, and childish behavior, suggesting that all other candidates, whom he calls “clowns,” should back out of the race.
Looking back at the 2016 debate for the Republican nomination, he did manage this way by mocking and insulting his way to winning.
Not one other candidate challenged his behavior.
First he claimed the election was rigged, while there was not one shred of evidence to support his claim, and now it’s all about election interference.
Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty. That’s how our system works.
Let it play out in the courts, and he should focus on the issues that are important to the American people. He should also stay out of the sandbox and the school yard, and act in a more civilized way.
Let the people decide who the clown is.
Sincerely,
L. Robert Nadeau
