LTE: Paul Gouthro stands out in Ward 1

To the editor

August 9, 2023 by To the editor

To the editor,

Lynn’s Ward 1 residents are fortunate to have so many qualified candidates for the open ward councilor seat. However, Paul Gouthro stands out from the talented crowd, and deserves support in the Sept. 5 primary election.

Paul will hit the ground running when he takes the helm in January. Indeed, his long-time proactive community involvement speaks for itself. Paul’s quiet efficiency is evidenced by his style of listening first to his neighbors and colleagues, and then acting accordingly. His ubiquitous attendance at Lynn public hearings, City Council meetings, and agency events shows his sincere desire to serve and represent his fellow residents through personal, hands-on involvement. The crowning jewel is the fact that Paul will be a truly full-time and accessible councilor. He has experienced and learned much in life, his stint in the Marine Corps., and careers, and has raised his exemplary family as a great role model. While I personally have no stake in this, as I am not a resident of Ward 1, this civic activist looks at Paul Gouthro as the best candidate to embody this component of the City Council body and team. Vote early or on Sept. 5, and make your vote count for a needed breath of fresh air, Paul Gouthro.

Sincerely,

Calvin Anderson

Lynn
