LTE: Donna Coppola is the best choice for Ward 4

To the editor

August 24, 2023 by To the editor

To the editor:

This year, Ward 4 citizens will be selecting a new city councilor in the first wide-open race in decades. Donna Coppola is the best choice to fill this People’s Seat. While the others seeking the position have various skills, Donna has holistic experience and is clearly the premier candidate in the Sept. 5 election.

As a former resident of Ward 4, this civic activist has a keen knowledge of the neighborhoods and concerns of the ward. The urban residential density, Union Street commercial corridor, and the twin natural bookends of High Rock and our unique gem of a waterfront all deserve the stewardship of the likes of Donna.

Donna knows the citizens are foremost, because our ward is more than brick and mortar and glass and steel. The community needs someone at the helm to inspire a small-town atmosphere in the special neighborhoods of Ward 4.

Her decades of serving families as the consistent top vote-getter on the School Committee means that Donna will be a seamless addition to the City Council, now focusing on the four precincts of Ward 4. She has a working relationship with city departments and knows how things work. This councilor will not need on-the-job training.

Donna Coppola is the one to fill the Ward 4 City Council seat. Please vote early or at the polls on Sept. 5, the day after Labor Day. How appropriate. Keep Donna Coppola working for YOU!

Sincerely,

Calvin Anderson
Lynn
