LYNN — The Lynn Water and Sewer Commission announced Monday that an area of Bennett Street between Astor Street and Commercial Street will have a single-lane closure through January as work is done to install the launching pit for micro tunneling of a new stormwater force main.
An announcement from the commission said there will also be a two-week period that will require the full closure of Bennett Street, though the dates are not yet known.
Lynn Water and Sewer stressed that although there will be periods of time when there is no active construction, single-lane closures will still be necessary for public safety while equipment is on-site and the launch pit is open or plated.
