LTE: A true representative of the people

To the editor

August 30, 2023 by To the editor

To the editor:

I am writing to express my support for Dr. Peter Meaney, who is among the candidates on the ballot for Ward 1 councilor in the upcoming primary election.

In a group of worthy and dedicated candidates, Dr. Meaney stands out as the deserving choice for your vote. His tireless commitment to engaging with the residents of Ward 1 and understanding the community’s needs sets him apart.

Over the past year, Dr. Meaney has really shown his dedication to the people of Ward 1. From joining City Hall meetings, to being part of local Fourth of July celebrations, to personally knocking on over 2,500 residents’ doors, he’s been right there, connecting with residents and showing his support.

Peter has put his words into action by crafting practical plans that he’ll kick-start once he’s in office. One of these plans includes bringing back Lynnfield Street Fire and Emergency Services, highlighting his hands-on commitment to our community’s safety.

As a business owner and a father of twin girls being raised in Lynn, Dr. Meaney has a personal stake in the improvement of Ward 1. His determination to contribute positively makes him a true champion for Lynn. With Dr. Meaney’s voice advocating for Ward 1 on the City Council, residents can be confident that their needs will be his top priority.

I urge fellow residents to consider the significance of their vote on Sept. 5. By electing Dr. Peter Meaney, we are choosing a candidate who is genuinely dedicated to the progress of our community.

Sincerely,

Priscilla and Kevin Geaney

Lynn
