LTE: Sean Reid for Lynn School Committee

To the editor

September 5, 2023 by To the editor

To the editor:

I am writing to express my wholehearted support for Sean Reid in his candidacy for Lynn School Committee. Having been born and raised in Lynn and having had the privilege of teaching in Lynn for over 25 years, I can confidently say that Sean is a standout candidate who possesses the qualities and dedication needed to make a positive impact in our education system.

As his former teacher during his middle school years, I have encountered many young people, and many stand-outs. Sean was one of those students. I witnessed firsthand Sean’s exceptional character and inquisitiveness in situations and how he navigated a solution. Even at a young age, he displayed a genuine care for his peers and demonstrated a strong desire to make a difference. I knew that at some point in his life he would be a person to make a difference. Sean’s innate compassion and empathy are qualities that are sorely needed in today’s landscape.

In addition to his remarkable character, Sean possesses a unique blend of intelligence, vision, and common sense that make him an ideal candidate for the School Committee. As educators, we require leaders who understand the intricacies of the classroom, the challenges faced by students and teachers alike, and the importance of implementing practical solutions. I’m confident Sean is one of these leaders.

I urge my fellow citizens to join me in supporting Sean Reid for School Committee, and together, let’s work toward creating a brighter future for our students and our community.

Sincerely,

Christine Donovan

Lynn
