LYNN — The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation will close the beach-entrance ramp across from Beach Circle along Lynn Shore Drive to accommodate handrail-replacement work on ramps to the beach from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends from Sept. 11-25.
The remaining ramps will stay open for the duration of construction, the roadway will remain open to vehicular traffic, and there will be minimal effects on pedestrian walkways and sidewalks.
Detours will be clearly marked.
The department urges visitors to use caution in construction areas and around equipment.
