Gannon holds mixed classic and annual cup

LYNN — The Gannon innerclubs came together to play a mixed best ball two-day tournament over Labor Day weekend. And this past Saturday, the club held its annual Gannon Cup event.

Winning the mixed classic was Roberta Pelland and her partner Doug Raleigh with a two-day low net score of 127. Closely behind in second place was Jane and Jay Fiste with a low net score of 128.

Third place was won by June Chiarella and Mike Timmons; fourth place was captured by Diane Donahue and Jerry Worthylake, who tied with Alana Pedersen and Jim Richmond.

Saturday in the Gannon Cup, the Red Team, captained by Jane Fiste, and the Blue Team, captained by Gina Manning, faced off for two nine-hole match play tournaments. Fiste’s team won 15-9 to capture the championship.
