LYNN — What better place to start and end a road race than underneath a clock?
The Greater Lynn Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Industrial Corporation of Lynn (EDIC/Lynn) are sponsoring the Clock to the Rock 5K Run/Walk on Thursday, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. The race begins at the clock in Central Square, runs up Sagamore and Ocean streets into Swampscott, then returns along Lynn Shore Drive, by Red Rock, onto the Lynnway at the Nahant Rotary, and back into Central Square via Washington Street.
The cost is $30 and anyone registering by September 15 will be guaranteed a shirt. There will be winners in five age groups: under-18, 19-30, 31-50, 51 to 69, and 70+. Race-day registration will begin at 4:30 p.m.
