LYNNFIELD — A new interactive art installation was unveiled in MarketStreet at the beginning of September to mark the entertainment hub’s 10-year anniversary. Celebrations will continue throughout the month in the form of family-friendly activities, limited-edition birthday bash swag, and special offers from several MarketStreet businesses.
Mi Casa, Your Casa 2.0, the interactive art installation, was created by artists and interior designers Hector Esrawe and Ignacio Cadena with Serge Maheu in collaboration with Creos, a service that specializes in art installations.
It symbolizes the meaning of home and is comprised of eight three-dimensional red frames that illustrate the warmth, comfort and safety of being at home. According to Charlotte Woods, the General Manager of MarketStreet, it is a reflection of MarketStreet’s culture.
“It represents not only our continued commitment to the arts, but also our desire to be a destination where people of all ages can feel at home, and comfortable and find something to enjoy,” Woods said. “We always strive to create a home away from home at the property, and as we looked to celebrate our 10-year milestone, we couldn’t think of a better way than with the Mi Casa, Your Casa 2.0 exhibit.”
In the past decade, MarketStreet has cemented itself as a leading entertainment hub in the North Shore region. The complex has several national retailers, including first-to-market brands and concepts, and locally-owned boutiques and restaurants. Woods said that MarketStreet’s success mantra is several-fold.
“It’s hard to pinpoint just one thing as it really comes down to a number of special factors,” Woods said. “For one, our team works around the clock to curate an incredibly diverse mix of retail and restaurants — from the most exciting next-big trends to standout locally owned businesses. We also have an amazing network of managers who work together to make the property a place people love. Without their hard work, dedication and love for our customers, we would just be a group of stores and not the community within the community that we are today.”
According to Woods, the support from the Lynnfield community and North Shore at large has played a huge role in MarketStreet’s 10-year success story.
“The regional community has contributed greatly as they continue to provide us with both the inspiration and desire to strive for everyday excellence,” Woods said. “We always want to ensure we are catering to our local community in Lynnfield and the entire North Shore region. Since day one, we’ve listened to and interacted with our area guests so that we know what they wish to see more of, whether that be more wellness options or home decor stores. They’ve truly helped us evolve over the years and we’re extremely proud to have become a welcoming hub of the community. “
