Ariana Camilo had 10 kills and six aces, followed by Maria Groscos (10 kills, 3 digs, 3 aces), Lia Morales (9 assists, 7 digs, ace), Zahara Belizaire (9 assists, 2 aces), Lesnee Izaguirre (5 kills), and Ava Bishop (6 digs).

In set scores of 25-21, 25-21, and 25-19, St. Mary’s volleyball team took care of business against KIPP. Loryness Suriel had nine kills, four aces, and seven digs, Ava Kidd recorded 15 digs and 12 service points, and Vanessa Magliore dished out 21 assists.
CROSS COUNTRY
Lynn Classical’s girls cross country team (1-1) fell to Revere 45-19 on Thursday, but the boys (1-1) snagged their first win with a 25-38 win against the Patriots.
Marianna De Leon ran well for the Lady Rams, finishing second overall with a time of 24:42. Brandon Sok finished first overall for the boys with a personal record of 19:44. Gianna Elmudesi (2nd, 20:05) and Ori Beato (5th, 22:30) also performed well.

At Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy, the Spartans (6-2) registered another win on the young season – this time against Archbishop Williams.
“[It’s] different for the kids. A really nice course, but a lot of trouble everywhere,” Coach Jay Fiste said.
That trouble didn’t stop the Spartans. Shea Newhall led the way with a 34, followed by Andrew Potter (32), Kyle Rush (29), Stephen Nason (29), Chase Collins (26), Josh Doney (26), Micah Hashikawa (24), and Jared Burke (22).
“We were pretty consistent throughout the lineup. That’s our strength,” Fiste said.

Despite a plethora of strong individual performances, the Fishermen reeled in the Big Blue (1-6) Thursday. Ben O’Brien (36) and Nick Smyth (38) were Swampscott’s winners, while Dawson DiBarri (38) played to a tie.

Thanks to a goal apiece from Tori McCoy and Panayiota Nikolouzos, Peabody’s field hockey team fought to a draw against Malden on Thursday.
Captain Meghan Collins showed strong “defense and leadership” according to Coach Jillian Tobin, who also praised Nikolouzos for her effort. Meghan Burke made four saves on six shots for the Tanners.

In a “great game” as said by English Coach Valdrim Xhemajli, the Bulldogs fought to a draw against Everett. The game started off slow with Everett jumping out to a 2-0 lead, but English responded in the back-and-forth affair.
Goal-scorers were Einor Angel (first varsity goal), Jhamington Gomez, and Danny Lopez.
