LYNN — Two children were hit by a car while walking to school with a parent on Monday.
According to the Police Department, officers responded to an incident on Holyoke Street at around 8:17 a.m. A 10-year-old girl and 7-year-old boy had been struck by a motor vehicle, and were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver, who also struck two parked cars, remained on-scene until officers arrived and was given a citation for charges related to unsafe operation of a motor vehicle and speeding.
The Police Department is still investigating the incident.
