You know what I’ve been thinking? Coach Pat Lamusta and the Lynnfield football program are cooking up something special down at Pioneer Stadium.
Look at it this way. In 2022, Lynnfield lost to both Triton and Newburyport. This season, the Pioneers have beaten Triton, 41-7, and Newburyport, 34-12. Quite the difference.
The train didn’t stop Friday night. In the first-ever matchup between the two programs, the Pioneers scored on all of their possessions and defeated Essex Tech, 42-13, at home.
Highlights were aplenty and the student section, rocking its white-out theme, had plenty to cheer about.
Junior quarterback Tyler Adamo put on a clinic, completing 11-of-13 passes for 147 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions. Niccolo Antidormi got the job done at running back, recording 83 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
The statistics poured in. Jesse Dorman caught two touchdowns to polish off a three-catch, 48-yard performance, while Massimo Lograsso nailed all seven of his extra point attempts.
Man, the Lynnfield boys soccer team is dominant as it is. Imagine if the program added Lograsso?
Lynnfield, which has racked up 117 points across three games, hosts Pentucket Friday night at 6:30 p.m. Last season, the Pioneers won 41-7, so look for more of the same this weekend.
To Lamusta and the rest of the program, good week.
