Simon Quicken, Marty Ryan, James Bickell, Adrian Baron, Matt Mahan, and Toby Grenier were all victorious in the Magicians’ 48.5-23.5 win against Gloucester on Wednesday. Ryan impressed with a one-under par score of 34, followed by Mahan’s 38.

The St. Mary’s golf team (8-2) remained perfect at 6-0 in the conference with a win against Cardinal Spellman. Shea Newhall led the way with 36 points, followed by Chase Collins (34), Andrew Potter (34), Matt Smith (32), Stephen Nason (31), Micah Hashikawa (30), and Josh Doney (28).
The Spartans travel to face Winthrop on Thursday.

Sophomore setter Emma Chevalier had 21 assists, six aces, and two kills, while junior outside hitter Amanda Hughes added eight kills and three aces.
Classical hosts Arlington Catholic on Friday.

In “a very hard-fought, physical game” according to Peabody coach Stan McKeen, the Tanners fought to a tie against the Panthers of Beverly on Wednesday.
Peabody – which came back twice to tie the game – was led by Abu Kaba (2 goals). Kacper Kowalczyk, AJ Forte, and Luke Murray all racked up assists, while Jaiden Fils Aime and Eli Loring played well according to McKeen.

Peabody’s girls soccer team took care of business against Beverly on Wednesday, 2-1. Avery Marcus and Gianna Sinibaldi found the back of the net, while Brooke Lomasney dished out an assist.

Collins and Daniella White picked up assists, while Sophia Kassis recorded six saves (scoreless first half).
“Daniella White and Meghan Collins were dynamic and fun to watch, igniting a full team effort,” Peabody coach Jillian Tobin said.
CROSS COUNTRY
The Lynn Tech girls (3-0) won 16-49 against Nashoba Tech on Wednesday with Flory Mendez capturing first place. She was followed by Faith Akinbami, Briana Mello, Mildred Mendez, Gisell Rodriquez, and Estrella Presinal.
The boys (1-2) lost, but not without great performances from Bryton Osgood, Diego Castro, and Liam Carmody.
