In dominant set scores of 25-14, 25-13, and 25-13, the Rams (8-0) remained perfect on the season as October nears – still having not lost a set.

Sophomore setter Emma Chevalier had 21 assists, six aces, and two kills, while junior outside hitter Amanda Hughes added eight kills and three aces.

Classical hosts Arlington Catholic on Friday.

“This should be the toughest test of the season,” coach Chris LeBlanc said.

BOYS SOCCER

In “a very hard-fought, physical game” according to Peabody coach Stan McKeen, the Tanners fought to a tie against the Panthers of Beverly on Wednesday.

Peabody – which came back twice to tie the game – was led by Abu Kaba (2 goals). Kacper Kowalczyk, AJ Forte, and Luke Murray all racked up assists, while Jaiden Fils Aime and Eli Loring played well according to McKeen.

Peabody’s girls soccer team took care of business against Beverly on Wednesday, 2-1. Avery Marcus and Gianna Sinibaldi found the back of the net, while Brooke Lomasney dished out an assist.

Despite the trio of Brooke Moloney, Sophie Skabeikis, and Issie Skabeikis having strong seasons, the Spartans were shut out by Cardinal Spellman in enemy territory.

Thanks to tallies from Meghan Collins, Amelia DiBatistta, and Ava DeCicco, the Tanners took care of business against the Patriots.
